Strawberry/Peach Jammin'
10 cups smashed peaches
2 1/2 cups chopped strawberries
7 cups sugar
2 large packages Strawberry Jell-o
Add 10 cups smashed peaches, 2 1/2 cups chopped strawberries, and 7 cups of sugar in a large pot (at least 8 qts). Bring to a boil. Turn down heat and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add 2 large packages of Strawberry Jell-o. Return to a boil. Turn down heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Add to canning jars. Process for 10 minutes. (Add an additional 10 minutes of processing time for higher altitudes like here in Grand Junction.)
This year I tried something new. I found a product called Tattler Reusable Canning Lids. They are made here locally (in Fruita, CO). They worked great and I will be able to use them year after year! So excited about this. :0)

Starting over...
My old blog was having some issues where my pics were not visible. So I have deleted my old blog and decided to start over. I saved the journaling from my old blog, so I will incorporate some of the things from my old blog into the new one.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
